DIY // gold twig hair pins

I was browsing Pinterest the other day and stumbled across this super easy do-it-yourself project for some gorgeous hair decorations: gold twig hair pins! they are so simple and would look amazing in a bridal up-do for a woodsy wedding, or if you're like me, just whenever you feel like have a little bit of nature in your hair!

I have blonde hair, so they blend in a bit more than if you were to wear them in dark brunette or auburn hair; the contrast would look amazing! read on to see just how easy this project is!

what you'll need:

  • twigs of your choosing
  • gold acrylic craft paint or spray paint
  • super glue or hot glue
  • bobby pins

1 // collect twigs and cut them to the shapes and sizes you like. then cover the entire surface with the gold paint. [I tried painting a few fake leaves and they turned out gorgeous too! the bobby pins didn't stay attached very well though.]

2 // once they are completely dry, attach a bobby pin to each twig with glue! I used gold/blonde bobby pins so they would blend in better.

3 // you're finished! when the glue is dry, pop those adorable pins into your hair. I think they look best with a tousled up-do or just hair with lots of texture. if you have dark brunette or auburn hair, the contrast would look absolutely gorgeous!
